Artists for Peace and Justice (APJ) is a non-profit organization founded by Paul Haggis and friends in 2009 that encourages peace and social justice and addresses issues of poverty around the world. APJ’s immediate goal is to serve children and their families in the poorest communities in Haiti by supporting programs focused on education, health and dignity. APJ is committed to long-term, sustainable development in direct partnership with the Haitian people.
APJ has two major programs: the Academy for Peace and Justice, a dignified high school for the very poor serving 3,000 students in Port-au-Prince, and Artists Institute, Haiti's only free technical college serving 150 students with high quality training in filmmaking, music production, and audio engineering.
APJ believes in empowering local communities, fostering economic growth and the power of education to change a nation. Every product purchased in our store will directly benefit our programs: 100% of all profits go straight to Haiti. Join us and learn more at www.apjnow.org
